Two months ago, I got a Facebook friend request from a nun in California named Rose Mary Clara. A nun sends a friend request to a stranger!

It was a surprise for me. Nuns are generally busy with their spiritual life. Most of them stay away from digital socializing. My curiosity was aroused.

I accepted the friend request. The next day, the nun said she had a special gift for me and wanted my name, address, and phone number to send it. She even said it was a gift from God and that I shouldn’t say no. I felt something fishy.

I got a feeling that something wasn’t right. I’d heard about scams and tricks on the internet, and this seemed like one of them. So, I decided not to give her my personal information. I politely said no to the gift and cash .

But it didn’t stop there. A few days later, I got a message on WhatsApp offering me a job where I could make easy money by giving five-star ratings to restaurants in Australia. It sounded too good to be true, and I remembered hearing about scams like this on the news. So, I said no again.

These experiences got me thinking about all the people who might fall for these tricks and lose their money or get into trouble. I read more about online scams and realized that many people, especially those who aren’t familiar with technology, can be targets.

That’s why I decided to write this book. It’s called “Circled by Criminals: 12 Strategies to Protect Your Life and Money,” and it’s for anyone who wants to stay safe online, even if they’re not very good with technology. I wrote it like a story so that it’s easy to understand and not boring.

In the book, you’ll learn 12 simple things you can do to keep yourself safe online. You’ll discover how to make strong passwords, use two-factor authentication, and recognize when someone is trying to trick you into giving them your information.

The book also talks about scams and how to avoid them. It’s like your shield against bad people on the internet who want to steal from you or trick you.
