Easy to say than practice….
However, we can find exceptions in life .
The life story of Gaurav Gurbaxani is one of the pretty interesting example.
Gaurav studied in a best hotel management school in India.
After spending several lacs & years , he joined in a five star hotel as a waiter.
Within one month he realized that this is not his path and left the job .
He found that there is appreciation and fulfilment in the job .
His parents felt so much disappointment.
“You can become a general manager of the five star hotel after 10 years”- they
pointed out.
However, Gaurav replied that — “Even i became a general manager today , i
am not ready to continue. There is no fulfilment for me ”.
His conviction was solid like rock.
Then what next?
His age was merely 22 .
He loved business . But lacking experience .
People would never take him seriously.
By an introvert in nature , he get more involved in internet and its business
opportunity . He found a mentor on digital business and followed.
He started an online business that was so successful till 2013.
He earned nearly 30,000 dollar at a point of time.
Suddenly everything collapsed.
Google changed its algorithm.
All income stopped .
The time of low period came again in life.
He started searching to rebuild something solid.
He studied a lot on digital marketing by self learning.
Watched endless online business stories.
Then he realized that next big thing would be gig economy.
Hire virtual a person from virtual platform and pay money for special task -
That is the fundamental of gig economy
Fiverr ,Upwork business model are the examples.
Gaurav studied and involved with these platforms .
And realized that it is billion dollar business industry.
However, some shortcomings were noticed by Gaurav.
They don’t have a great training system with personalization.
“New people do not get proper guidance to go next level”- Gaurav says.
And also has to pay a big percentage of commission to these companies.
He also pointed out another surprising observation
“India is the second largest populated country . But , India is not in the second
position in gig economy. India is far behind with several small nations which
have less population. We are missing a great opportunity . Salaried job are
decreasing day by day . Keep people in pay roll and running companies are
very costly affair . It eats the profit margin also. Hiring people for task and pay
it .Cost becomes less and expertise becomes higher.
Repetition is the reputation of the gig industry. Here, people are doing one
task again and again. A person developed 2000 website will be get more
business & trust than a new comer.”
Why we are lacking behind several countries?
Gaurav has clear answer for that .
“ We are lacking awareness & training. We have to urgently improve that areas”.
He started 7 am club with his own digital marketing platform:
